Ever since I got into art & photography, I have always been fascinated with Ao Dai, a Vietnamese long dress. It is simplistic and elegant. When made right it would gracefully contour to a woman body. It flows smoothly and doesn’t restrict body moment. In most women’s body type, wearing it will automatically make a woman look slim, elongated, demure, and greatly attractive. There mainly 2 types of Ao Dai: 1) Pure, solid white Ao Dai(s), which are traditionally worn by students. Many schools in Vietnam require female students to wear white Ao Dai. 2) Fashion or wedding Ao Dai(s), which are more elaborate, come in many different colors, and have a lot more design elements. The Ao Dai is the iconic symbol of Vietnam. Therefore, when visiting Vietnam you will see that most coffee shops, hotels, stores, and restaurants often have female servers wearing Ao Dai. When I got started in photography, I have always wanted to work on the subject of Ao Dai. So finally, after befriending with Minh Chau, an Ao Dai designer in Saigon, Vietnam, we collaborated on a few projects with Ao Dai as the main subject. So here it is…my work on the Ao Dai. Hope you guys enjoy looking at these photos. They are just simply stunning…Feel free to share the post and make sure to hit LIKE at the end. 🙂

Beautiful
rat dep do anh ;)).
you made the models and ao dai even more beautiful than it is. It has been a very long time since I wore an ao dai and missed it a lot after seeing this series :'( thanks for sharing, never fail a shot Anh 🙂
The Ao Dai flatters all the figures of the models. Those modified colorful Ao Dai look gorgeous, but I still like the pure white one PTMo wore the most. The models look elegant. You’ve put so much hard work on this too. Great great great job anh 🙂
Beautifully done !! I love them all !! 🙂
Amazing photography! Breathtaking. You got great eye for composition Anh Kevin. I have seen other photos of Ao Dai, but they all look boring. Your work is exciting to look at. Your forever #1 fan.
Gorgeous photos. Love the way the models were posed. Really shows off the ao dai so beautifully.

Thank you em. Yes, it is. I love the simplicity of the plain, white dress. But, all white would be boring, and I love colors. 🙂
