Here’s a short, sweet story of this couple. Kim & Brian met and became friends in 2007 as two young students at University of California, Irvine. Kim, a bio major, and Brian, a journalism major, crossed paths through mutual friends and at various extracurricular functions. Being the classic romantic that he is, Brian took Kim out on their first unofficial date at a local McDonald’s, where he wooed her with a value meal and musings about lip gloss; just enough to steal her heart. Gradually, phone calls turned into hanging out which became dates that led to the foundation of a loving seven year relationship.

On her birthday, December 20th, 2014, he gathered their closest friends and family for a surprise proposal as they strolled through a Brea neighborhood adorned with brightly lit Christmas decorations. Beneath the starry winter night and with the backdrop of golden festive lights, Brian dropped to one knee and asked for Kim’s hand in marriage. This was the culmination of seven years of unconditional love and trust.
