I have been to New Orleans numerous times for weddings & photoshoots; but each time it’s all new to me, and every photoshoot’s result is different. New Orleans is such a beautiful, romantic place – especially the French Quarter. You can’t do an engagement session in Nola (short for New Orleans) without having the French Quarter as one of the locations. Tuyet & Loi are a beautiful, tall, and athletic couple that we had the pleasure to work with. Standing at 5’11 in flat, she is definitely the tallest bride I have photographed. This couple is very laid-back, shy, and sweet. They don’t talk much, but they let their love each other do the talking. 🙂 We walked around the French quarter and took photos of random places. It was a very casual, fun session. The sky was a little overcast, and the weather was very cool – not humid and hot like most late summer days in Nola. Our second location was the wonderful City Park of New Orleans. I wish we have a park like this in Los Angeles. It is a huge park with lots of trees, ponds, lakes, garden, and beautiful architectures. We started at the Botanical Garden (inside the park) first, then we ventured the surrounding areas. The Botanical Garden is like a paradise or the “Garden of Eden” – a magical, beautiful place. It is picturesque with every turns and angles. Tuyet & Loi are energetic people. After the session in City Park, they still had the energy to play volleyball. They played from early evening to midnight after the session. I got invited and came out to play with them for a little bit. I hadn’t played for years, and they put my volleyball skills to shame. 🙂 Thank you Tuyet & Loi for a great session. I look forward to your upcoming wedding in December.
